Strengths
The first thing you notice about the Czech is his incredible size and length. He projects as a point forward in the NBA, but has shown great potential with the skills he has shown to date, and he is just 18 years old… Satoransky is a lengthy, 6'7" swingman, who creates for himself based on his energy and being active… In the Reebok Eurocamp last summer, NBA scouts were extremely impressed with his ability to handle the ball. He displayed excellent court vision, especially in transition, when Satoransky was crafty with the ball, getting to the rim or setting up teammates for easy buckets. He is a spectacular passer… In the half court, the 6'7" wing displayed a quick, long first step, getting by defenders and into the lane. In the paint, he has showed excellent footwork, including a devastating spin-move, creating separation and leaving defenders in his dust… Has displayed key attributes such as his unselfishness and winning mentality…
Weaknesses
Satoransky stands at an impressive 6'7", but is a long way away in terms of NBA strength. He is just 185 pounds right now. In the Reebok Eurocamp, he struggled finishing at the rim and inside the paint because he was easily pushed around… He is an inconsistent scorer from the perimeter. He rarely shoots from the European 3-point line so far this season and is converting at an unimpressive 25% rate. He has displayed poor mechanics on his jump shot- releasing the ball flat-footed with a one-handed release…
