The Knicks are hoping for one of their prospects to fall to them at No. 17- that would be Klay Thompson, Marshon Brooks, Kenneth Faried or Iman Shumpert. Faried, the nation's leading rebounder, would be the best fit in this system. Playing along side to Amare Stoudemire, an underwhelming rebounder, Faried would work for second opportunities for Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups. However, the team is enamored with Georgia Tech shooting guard Iman Shumpert- the best athlete in the draft with harassing defense. He could learn under Billups for a year and then take over, or provide the team with a trade chip moving forward.
