Orlando Summer League Highlights Day 2

NBA-DRAFT.COM will take a look at only some of the highlights from day 2 of the Orlando Summer league. Stay tuned for the low lights of the summer league.

Grizzlies defeat Thunder, 84-63

        With the 22nd pick the 2014 NBA Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies selected Jordan Adams from UCLA. Adams scored 22 points going 5-12 from the field including 4-6 from downtown. Jarnell Stokes from Tennessee had a efficient game for the Grizz as well logging 10 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes of action. Stokes was very aggressive as he managed to pick up 6 fouls in only 20 minutes. Perry Jones, the young forward from Baylor who was drafted in the 2012 draft, led the way for the Oklahoma City Thunder with 15  points, while shooting 2-2 from beyond the arc and grabbing 6 rebounds.

Pistons Defeat Rockets, 95-89

        Detroit Pistons shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who they drafted out of Georgia last year had the best game of all players on day 1. Pope dropped 26 points, 6 steals and 4 rebounds.

Magic Defeat 76ers, 83-77

        The no. 2 pick from last year's draft Victor Oladipo turned in a strong performance with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. This game also included the debut of Nerlens Noel, the 76ers big man who missed all of his rookie season due to injury. Noel was the high point man for the game with 19 points, 4 steals and 3 assists.

Celtics Defeat Heat, 85-77

        When Boston drafted Kelly Olynyk from Gonzaga last year, they hoped that his game would continue to develop.  He had a solid rookie season with the Celtics and came back to the summer league to hone his skills in live game action. the 7-footer was the star of this game contributing 20 points and 8 rebounds.

Nets Defeat Pacers, 101-81

        Just like Olynyk, Mason Plumlee of the Brooklyn Nets has a very solid rookie season in limited minutes. Plumlee had a monster game for the Nets ad he dominated the competition with 23 points on 8-11 shooting with 7 rebounds in 24 minutes.
