Hometown: Toronto, Canada

Height: 6'3"

Weight: 175

Position: Point Guard

Team: Texas

Class: Freshman
Strengths

Right-handed… Joseph has good size at 6'3" and great quickness giving him way to one of the top point guard rankings in the freshman class. He is a dynamic point, creating opportunities for his team or for himself. He is one of the most efficient ball-handlers, getting into the lane at will or scoring off the dribble with a pull-up jumper. He favors going to his left and utilizing advanced ball moves, spinning to open up options or using low cross-overs to change direction. While he is dangerous driving and penetrating, he is just as big of a threat from beyond the arc. He can put points on the board in a hurry with a combination of driving the ball to the rim, knocking down long jumpers or playing off the ball and curling off screens… Joseph is at his best in transition. He is one of the quickest players in the nation with the ball in his hands, not to mention, Joseph possesses excellent court awareness, reading the defense and setting up his teammates for buckets… As a defender, he has elite lateral quickness that aids him in covering ground and harassing opposing guards. He has quick hands and instincts that allow him to come up with steals and deflections.
Weaknesses

Joseph looks comfortable playing either guard spot, but franchises at the next level will look for Joseph to run their team as a point guard. This means initiating the offense, setting up teammates and picking his spots on offense. Occasionally, Joseph plays out of control, getting forced into rushed passes and turnovers. He needs to play at his own speed, continue to shield pressure with his body and run the offense…
