Northern Iowa Topples No.1 UNC

The Panthers have shocked the College Basketball world by stunning the top ranked Tar Heels 71-67 in Cedar Falls. UNC was without star senior Guard Marcus Paige due to a broken bone in his right hand. Wes Washpun led the Panthers in scoring with 21 points and 8 assists. Northern Iowa was down by 9 points to start the 2nd half. This was the biggest win for the Panthers since 2010 when they tackled the top seeded Kansas Jayhawks to reach the Sweet 16. This was a tough loss to say the least for the Tar Heels especially on Homecoming. Now the Tar Heel nation can really see how valuable Paige is to this team.
