Former Rutgers Guard Rosario Headed to Florida

Former Rutgers guard, Mike Rosario, has committed to transfer to the University of Florida to play under coach Billy Donovan. While he will
have to sit this coming season per transfer regulations, Donovan has put together one of the most explosive backcourts in the nation in
2011-2012 with Rosario, will-be junior Kenny Boynton Jr., committed 2011 shooting guard Bradley Beal, likely 2011 signing Austin Rivers, and senior-to-be Erving Walker. Even if Boynton does likely leave school prior to the 2011-12 season, the Gators' backcourt will feature four potent scoring guards, three of which (Rosario, Beal and Rivers) were amongst the top recruits in their high school class.

With the addition of a few serviceable big men, Florida may be looking at returning to national prominence; to date, the Gators have signed
6'9" power forward Patric Young, Scouts, Inc.'s 18th overall prospect in the class of 2010, and are still in the running for two other highly ranked big men for next year. For the following season, 2011-12, UF is in the mix for several top frontcourt prospects, including the number one overall center, Rakeem Christmas, a powerful 6'9" post player. On the current roster, rising sophomore, Erik Murphy played inconsistent minutes all season long this past season, but showed glimpses of potential- posting 16 points and 11 rebounds against Presbyterian and 9 points, 6 rebounds in 17 minutes against Kentucky.
