First Two Games of the NCAA Tournament

Albany Great Danes 71, Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers 64

        The Albany Great Danes advance to the round of 64 by hanging on to beat the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers 71-64. D.J. Evans, the 5 foot 9 guard from Albany led the way with 22 points . Albany led the way from the start as the Great Danes led 13-0 and then 21-2, only to led the Mountaineers go on their own 21-2 run.  As a reward for beating the Mountaineers, Albany must now face the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Florida Gators.

N.C. State Wolfpack 74, Xavier Musketeers 59

        T.J. Warren, the ACC player of the year, didn't have a great start to the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Warren missed  his first two shots and picked up two quick fouls in the first four minutes of the game. Warren finished the game with 25 points, scoring 16 of them in the second half. He made the most of his second chance in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack have advanced to the round of 64 by defeating the Xavier Musketeers 74-59. N.C. State will take on St. Louis next on Thursday.
