Rookie Burke Breaks Finger

Utah Jazz rookie Point Guard Trey Burke continues with his disastrous start to his NBA career. Burk has followed up his horrendous NBA summer league with an injury sustained in a pre-season game against the L.A. Clippers. Burke broke his right index finger according to x-rays at halftime of the game. This is another blow to the rebuilding Utah Jazz.

The Jazz wanted the Michigan product so badly that they traded with the Minnesota Timberwolves on draft night to acquire him. This should be just a short term injury for Burke and the Jazz with a timeline to return in about 4-6 weeks. At this point in time, there are not many options to help handle the rock in the already weak backcourt of the Jazz. Trade rumors have been flying, with the latest one a trade with the Chicago Bulls to acquire Marquis Teague.
