Highlights from Elite 8 Games - Saturday March 31st

No. 4 Syracuse Orange vs. No. 3 Marquette Golden Eagles

The Orange of Syracuse absolutely smothered the Marquette Golden Eagles 55-39. Syracuse's 2-3 Zone frustrated Marquette all game long. This was the rematch from the regular season where the outcome was different and Marquette came out victorious. This was also the last time these two foes will play each other while being in the "Old Big East." Syracuse's defense forced Marquette to shoot 23% from the field and only 3-24 from long range. The Orange return to the Final 4 for the first time since Carmelo Anthony led them there in 2003.

No. 9 Wichita State Shockers vs. No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes

Wichita State lived up to their name and shocked the Buckeyes to move onto the Final 4. The Buckeyes were down by 20 points in the second half and used a furious rally to cut the lead to 3 points. But in the end, the Buckeyes came up a little too short, a little too late. Wichita State's Senior Guard Malcolm Armstead led the Shockers in points (14), rebounds (7), assists(3) & steals(3). The Shockers move onto the Final 4 by beating the Buckeyes 70-66.
