Damion James - Will the "Tweener" Be A First Round Pick?

Despite being the best player on one of the nation's best teams, Texas' Forward, Damion James, does not get much love from NBA scouts. As a wing, the 6'7" Senior has 1,500+ points and 1,000+ rebounds in his four-year career at Texas, but is still considered a borderline first-round pick by many NBA franchises. In his last two games, Texas rode James to victory over then - #10 North Carolina and then-#9 Michigan State; James recorded double-doubles in both of those wins, a 25-point, 15-rebound performance against UNC and a 23-point and 13-board effort in the Michigan State match-up. But he continues to struggle with his 3-point shot as he was 0-7 in these games and is now 10-29 on the season. Without an advanced perimeter game, James is considered a tweener and he will likely be considered a second round pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.
