Freshman Montrezl Harrell Makes Louisville Even More Dangerous

As if opponents needed one more player on the Louisville Cardinals to fear, it appears that high-ranking freshman Montrezl Harrell can make that impact. Joining likely all-Big East talents Peyton Siva, Gorgui Dieng and Wayne Blackshear, and even possibly Chance Behanan, Harrell had an eye-popping performance in Louisville's exhibition matchup this week; he shot 9-for-11 from the field for 19 points, 13 rebounds, while also blocking 3 shots.

If there was an area to point to as a potential weakness for the defending Big East Tournament Champions Cardinals, it was their frontcourt depth. Behind Gorgui Dieng, it's Chance Behanan and newcomer Luke Hancock, the transfer from George Mason, is more of a small forward than a big. Harrell's development is extremely meaningful for Rick Pitino and Louisville to make another deep NCAA Tournament run.
