Syracuse's Bench Excels

We knew Syracuse was deep. What they lack in true star talent, they make up for by going nine or ten deep in the rotation on a regular night with excellent youth and guard play and versatility in the back of the 2-3 zone as well.

In the biggest test to date for the Orange when they matched up against North Carolina State on the road, the five bench members actually outscored the starting lineup 46-42 with a career-high 22 points by Dion Waiters and double-digit scoring efforts by forwards C.J. Fair and James Southerland. Even more impressively, the Syracuse reserves outscored the Wolfpack's bench 46-4 in total points.
