UNLV's Moser, Stanback Highlights UCLA Miseries

It's not just that the Bruins are 2-4 on the year with losses to Loyola-Marymount and Mid-Tennessee or that last season's leading-scorer and rebounder, Reeves Nelson, has been suspended for his conduct detrimental to team and production is down. Well it is all of that, but with the explosion of former-UCLA transfers Mike Moser and Chace Stanback, UCLA is even more in the dumps.

Moser and Stanback rarely saw the court, even from their seats far down on the bench as freshmen several years ago, but have found their careers revived with the Rebels of UNLV; Moser, the lanky and versatile, 6'8" forward, leads the nation in rebounding at 13.3 a game, while his 17.5 points per game lead the team and rank second in the MWC at this time. Stanback, a senior, now in his third year with the Rebels, offers a similar versatile inside-outside offensive game, and is second on the team in scoring (14.9) and rebounding (5.9).

Think Ben Howland couldn't use those two this season?
