Living Up To The Potential: Ian Miller, Florida State

We had previously written about how the injury bug hit the Semioles' starting center, Xavier Gibson, limiting his effectiveness when he returned to the lineup. The same could be said about 6'3" sophomore guard Ian Miller. Big things were expected from him last season, but a preseason groin injury cost him 11 games, leading way to Derwin Kitchen remaining as the starting point guard.

Coach Hamilton raves about Miller's potential and we see exactly why, pegging Miller as the second-best point guard in the ACC behind Kendall Marshall. Physically, Miller has the tools to play either guard spot, although he is a more natural floor leader at the point. With more experience and development, Miller could take over the starting job in his second season and never look back.
