New Face of the WCC: Kevin Foster, Santa Clara

Move over Gonzaga. Move over Saint Mary's. Junior guard Kevin Foster is on a mission to end a Broncos- NCAA Tournament draught that lasts back to the Steve Nash days. The West Coast Conference's coaches are very familiar with this lethal threat, but it's time to introduce Foster to the rest of the country.

Foster shot 380 3-pointers last season, edging out College of Charleston's Andrew Goudelock by a mere 58 attempts to lead the nation. Surprisingly enough, Foster made 140 of these shots for a very respectable 36.8 percent clip. While playing in nearly 80 percent of his team's minutes, Foster shot another 214 shots from within the arc and get to the free-throw line 200+ times, where he shot 80 percent on the year, but he also found time to set up his teammates and lead the Broncos in assist rate.

Keep an eye on this team in 2011-12 as Santa Clara looks to improve from last season's 24-win campaign and Foster will certainly produce amongst the nation's best.
