Kings Draft Day Success

One of the worst teams in basketball last year was the Sacramento Kings. The Kings pulled off a 3 way draft day trade landing them Jimmer Freddette. Fredette will be a nice compliment with 2009 first round draft pick and former rookie of year Tyreke Evans. It looks like the Kings have found their backcourt of the future. Last year Sacramento drafted DeMarcus Cousins to be their Power Forward of the future. The kings seem to be a much improved team without even playing a single game. Those 3 will look to be the cornerstones of the future for this team on the rise.

The exciting Fredette will bring more than just his endless range jumper to Sacramento. Jimmer will bring fans to the seats and excitement to the city. Fredette was one of the most exciting players in college basketball last season, the Kings organization hopes that he can do for the same for them. Since the Kings allowed about a 105 points per game last season, they will need their new young core to score even more than they did last year. The kings also selected possibly the steal of the draft Tyler Honeycutt in the second round. Honeycutt has the upside and potential to be their starting small forward. Honeycutt will bring hid defensive skills and passing ability to the kings. Sacramento is hoping that Honeycutt's defense, passing ability and high basketball IQ will rub off on the entire team.
