Morehead's Faried a Lottery Pick?

With his stout play over the past four years, senior forward Kenneth Faried for the Morehead State Eagles, is still flying under the radar. At 6'8", Faried has terrorized the offensive and defensive glass, averaging 13 rebounds per game as a sophomore and junior and is on pace again this season to finish near the top of the country in rebounding. Just yesterday, Faried put up an incredible line playing against Billy Donovan's Gators: 20 points, 18 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks against a Florida team predicted by some to win the SEC. He dominated the veteran frontcourt of Alex Tyus, Vernon Macklin and Chandler Parsons, while talented youngsters Erik Murphy and Vernon Macklin couldn't offer much more support.

Donovan compared Faried to NBA-rebounding great Dennis Rodman and even went as far as saying "If I was an NBA general manager, I'd be taking him with my pick." Right now, Faried is a solid first-round pick in June's draft with a shot to climb to the mid-first-round barring any injuries.
