Kansas Wins On- and Off-The-Court

Sure, the Jayhawks ousted North Texas in Lawrence, Kansas last night, tying their mark for consecutive home wins, but their biggest victory may have come off the court yesterday. The NCAA ruled that freshman guard Josh Selby, a national top-five recruit, will have a chance to make his college debut on December 18th, after sitting out six more games (bringing his total suspension to 9) and paying a fine of nearly $6,000.

The NCAA was investigating the relationship between Selby and Robert Frazier, the business manager of the Denver Nuggets' star forward Carmelo Anthony. Even though Selby's mother maintained that Frazier was a childhood friend of hers who was just helping out during the recruiting process, there were still some issues in his recruiting process, leading to his punishment.
